We are passionate about old crafts and traditional methods and are commited to preserving the inangible cultural heritage.
We run various demonstrations and workshops throughout the year at Dorich House, Hogsmill Community Garden and Stanley Picker Gallery. Our sessions for schools take place at Kingston Museum and can be booked via their education department. Suitable for SEN, please check the link at the bottom of this page.
Workshops consist of flax and wool processing, yarn spinning demonstartions, natural dyeing talks, loom weaving and embroidery practice.
Participants learn old crafts with authentic tools like clay and wooden drop spindles, flax breaks, scutching blades and various traditional looms.
Every summer we also take part in the annual Kingston Saxon Fayre where members of the public can meet us and engage with the wonderful crafts we practice.
