We'll be hosting a special event at the Kingston Museum garden during the Kingston Heritage Festival.

This will be an outdoor display of old crafts and traditional techniques with demonstrations and talks about natural resources and homemade processes to spread awareness of sustainable, regenerative and more harmonious ways of making.

The afternoon will include processing of this year’s flax harvest from local community gardens, fibre & textile exhibition, collaborative tapestry needlework, art & craft workshops, examples of harvested materials like clay and hazel with their future use in the built environment, gardening and biodiversity corner and finally, healthy homemade bakes and breads from seeds based recipes.

The aim of this event is to celebrate traditional crafts and the intangible cultural heritage of our vibrant communities but also to create an engaging and stimulating learning experience for children and community groups.
